Common Cantonese / HK table patterns. Faan values and minima (often 3) differ by club — confirm with your table.
Payouts
Sum every applicable faan on the winning hand, then read the row below. Base score is 2faan points: on a discard win the discarder pays 2× base and the other two pay 1× each; on a self-draw each of the three pays 2× base. Tables often require a 3-faan minimum to go out.

- Example: 5 faan → discarder 64, other losers 32 each; self-draw → 64 from each of the three.
- Some clubs use a grouped fan-laak table instead (e.g. 4–6 faan share one payout, 10+ capped). Confirm if your table doubles every faan or steps by laak.
- Dealer doubling (winner or loser) and the cash value of one point are house rules.
